Programs and services to children are an INVESTMENT in our future not an EXPENSE, but some of the past leaders in this state got it confused. They did not make children a top priority and we are paying the high cost of these past decisions.
Independent, non-partisan watchdog groups rank Florida near the bottom of all states in crucial areas of child safety, health, early education and child protection.
Our kids are struggling already. How will they fare with even more cuts?
Birthing health babies, insuring our children, giving foster children a fair chance, providing degreed teachers in pre-k classrooms, keeping children safe before and after school, and derailing the schoolhouse to jailhouse track are ESSENTIAL.
Across the board spending cuts do not solve the mistakes of the past. They will sink our children into more of an abyss. Your leadership, however, can make a difference.
